Week 1- March 1st

How is cluster grouping different than tracking?

  1. Tracking places students according to what curriculum they might have the most success with. So one group of students might be in a classroom that does basic math, while another group would be in an algebra class. In the cluster grouping model all students are exposed to the SAME curriculum. In the fore mentioned example both groups would be working on algebra, just in very different ways.

  2. I have found this difficult in my school due to teacher's personalities and daily schedules. I only wish we can be on the same page to accomplish this.
