Week of March 8 Question 3

What role does complexity have in the instructional challenge process?

  1. Complexity is the bread and butter of gifted instruction. These students really need to be exposed to different ways of dealing with concepts taught. They have the ability to make connections where other students would not. These need to be fostered and practiced as well as any other learning skill. One way I have been addressing this is by the use of Alternate Reality Games (A.R.G.).

  2. Using the new Gifted Resource web page is an excellent way to obtain ideas to create a variety of more complex lessons.
