Guidelines:

It is good to know that the two manners of differentiating gifted instruction exist. The teacher should use these and many others to customize the instruction to fit the needs of the particular class/student. What would be appropriate with one student may not work for another. One gets in the mind set of "Will acceleration or enrichment be best for Sally." It is also possible that a custom blend of both might be the best way to go as well.
